Road & Driveway Construction

Gravel roads, driveways, access roads, and parking areas built to handle Alaska's climate and heavy use.

Roads and driveways in Alaska take a beating that surfaces in warmer climates never experience. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles, spring breakup, heavy snowfall, and oversized vehicle loads all conspire to destroy poorly built roads within a few seasons. MNA Construction builds roads that last — starting with proper subgrade preparation, geotextile fabric where soil conditions require it, and correctly specified gravel lifts compacted to density requirements.

We construct everything from short residential driveways to multi-mile access roads for remote properties, subdivisions, and resource development sites across the Kenai Peninsula. Our road building process includes clearing the right-of-way, establishing drainage ditches and culvert crossings, building up the road prism with properly graded aggregate, and finishing with a driving surface that sheds water and resists rutting. We also handle seasonal road maintenance, regrading, and gravel resurfacing to extend the life of existing roads.

For properties in areas with challenging access — steep grades, creek crossings, or wet ground — we design road alignments that work with the terrain rather than fighting it. We've built access roads through some of the most difficult ground on the Kenai Peninsula, and we understand what it takes to create reliable year-round access in a place where the weather doesn't make it easy.
